Keep Fighting for the NHS
Please note this is not a registered charity. It is a site to help raise awareness and to encourage the public to donate to the registered NHS charity of their choice.
We want to convey a very powerful message: “Keep Fighting” for the NHS.
Inspired by the American Boss Bitch Fight YouTube sensation with Cameron Diaz, Juliet Lewis, Drew Barrymore and others, directed by Zoe Bell, we created the British answer '“Keep Fighting” with a huge array of female British stars led by Maxine Peake and featuring Emma Thompson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Weruche Opia, Olivia Colman, Mandeep Dhillion and many many more great names.
“Keep Fighting” is a awareness-raising video harnessing comedy and spoof in the way Brits do better than anyone. Whilst the American version is High Impact Stunts, ours is Tongue in Cheek. Funny and slapstick.
As we all know, NHS staff are working around the clock saving lives and many are contracting Covid-19 whilst doing so. We are thrilled we raised money and awareness for the Intensive Care Society, a charity who brilliantly support front line staff in Intensive Care Units across the United Kingdom. And now we continue with our spoof film to raise awareness, encouraging people to support and donate money to a NHS charity close to their heart.
Thelonious Punk Productions had wanted to create something to help support the NHS during the initial Covid crisis. This project was born after they came across the American Boss Bitch fight video which sparked an idea for an inspiring yet funny campaign to help rally the public’s attention to the extreme difficulty the NHS was facing.
Written, produced and directed by musician and actor, Collette Cooper, she recruited a few close actor friends to be involved. As the project grew, they decided to team up with Collette’s close friend, the brilliant Pip Gill of Pip Gill Entertainment (highly respected talent manager, publicist, and PR strategist) to produce alongside award-winning Executive Producer Mike Hanson, co-founder of Thelonious Punk Productions (BBC Radio 2 & 6 Music). Thank you to Duncan Heath, who was the Associate Producer of the ICS Campaign, as the charity is close to his heart.
The short spoof, all shot on smart phones, is edited by acclaimed film editor Charlie Lort-Phillips (BIFA). Sound/mixing engineering by multi-Bafta winner, six time Emmy nominee Nigel Heath and Jamie Allen from Hackenbacker Studios. Colour grading by Carl Thompson and post production manager is Marie Fernades of the multi-award winning Molinare Post Production. Harvey McCabe, who managed social media for such high profile BBC events like Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park and Children in Need successfully ran the initial social media campaign.
Fashion designer, Gresham Blake, has also created a Keep Fighting Facemask with proceeds also going to charity.
